INTRODUCTION
Frederick S. Bacon Laboratories was established two years before the outbreak of World War II. Through its services to industry and the military over the ensuing years, an enviable position among professional service organizations was attained.
Four years after the cessation of World War II, Frederick S. Bacon Laboratories solved a difficult specialty rubber molding problem for a vital U. S. Air Force application. Such a stream of orders for precision production work followed that it was decided to establish a wholly owned industrial Service affiliate – Bacon Industries, Inc.
Development of a radically new “upside down” transfer molding process for handling highly viscous epoxy resin compounds further contributed to the growth of the new enterprise.
Since its corporate founding, BI floor space requirements have increased more than four‑fold.
What started out as a one‑man operation is today an exceptionally flexible‑minded staff of scientists, engineers and technically trained assistants, equipped with extensive, fully modern research and development facilities.
Of possibly even greater significance, a reputation has been developed for possessing the diversified experience and creative ability required for the solution of out‑of‑the‑ordinary problems.
As a result, Bacon Industries, Inc. is now serving manufacturers in the electronics, instrumentation, medical, aircraft and missile industries.
